With some logging happening on Hwy 29 between TR and Chetwynd, I am curious to see if some access has opened up, the Miekle Ck. road in particular. Bourd, I and others have 4WD vehicles so access is not too bad.

Hi. Here's an observation from December 16: Backcountry skied with Pete B. in Holzworth Meadows area. Dug a pit on the south face of Ptarmigan Ridge. Snow depth was just half a metre. While wind slab was not noticeable in this area, wind may have removed some snow. Air temp was about - 2 C. Weak layers observed at 10 cm and 20 cm depth, these produced
