Skied the 'gorge' on saturday. decent coverage, hs- 1.6m at 1750m . Looked like cycle went through on Friday , Saturday was rather warm and when the visibility allowed crowns were visible wall to wall on all steep alpine like features around . Most everything on E to NW aspects (lee sides) that was steep or unsupported ran. Failure was a soft wind slab formed by the recent storm snow over facets roughly 30cm s down near ridgelines. Facets were found around 1m down in snowpack as well but nothing observed going down to this layer.
I really like the "skeena -babine' forum. they talk alot on here. It would be nice to get that going in the Sicamous /Revy area perhaps. Im no pro but its nice to hear what everyones finding, keep the wheels turning for those days im not out there observing and playing.
PS. If your going to take your Acura 15km up the gorge make sure you dont have all seasons!!! Its can be an icy mess so make sure you have good rubber.
