I just got back from 3 days at the Pass and thought I would pass on a conditions report as things are changing fast.

It did not freeze on Wed or Thurs nite, during the day it was well above freezing. I kited on Thursday morning on the Lake, but by noon it was becoming seriously rotten and was like skiing in glue up to your ankles.
So changed activities &  went for a tour on the other side of the highway from Summit Creek. Got up to 1400 and even on the side of the valley the snow was glue and starting to rot out.

Not supposed to freeze overnite the next couple of days and without an overnite freeze things are deteriorating rapidly. Kiting on the lakes I think is toast, may be OK elsewhere. Ski touring is not great either, tho' may be OK way high on north slopes.

Need some overnite freezes to get some corn snow happening.
