GROUP INFORMATION
Type: Unknown Activity: Snowmobiling
Size: 19
AVALANCHE INFORMATION
Number: 1 Size: Size class 3.5 Type: Slab avalanche
Trigger: Ma (Suspected, Ma)
Dimension: 500m wide; ran for 700m; average slab depth of 130cm.
Failure Pl.: Old - Weak layer: SH
Starting Zone: Location: Treeline at approx. 2130m.
Character: N; 35 degrees; Lee Slope(s); Open Slope.
Fracture line was on convex rolls below a ridgeline. This was a large open slope with unsupported features and both convex and concave elements with a series of gullies. The incline at the fracture line 25-40 degrees. The average slope angle was 35-37 degrees.

Number of people injured: 1 injured and 1 deceased.
WEATHER AND SNOWPACK INFORMATION
Weather: Calm during the day of the incident, but strong winds were reported the day before - unknown direction.
Snowpack: Snowfall in the past 48 hours: 5-10 cm.
