Hankin Conditions?

I've never been before, but I'm thinking of going next weekend. What are the conditions currently like? Is the summer parking lot open? I was wondering if people go up to the lookout cabin very often? Thanks, Steve

Steve, Went for a short tour this morning (4.13.12) up to tree-line. Wet! Wet! Wet! We got to the last turn in the road below the Winter-time parking lot in a 2WD (add 5 minutes). A 4x4 would have no problem. Skiing was "instructional," very grabby. We did not venture into the alpine because of the high temps and signs of trouble (wet avalanches, rollerballs). In all a nice tour. Enjoy.

Thanks for the update. Might have to wait and see what the weather does this week and make a call on Friday.
