Skied up to tree line above road (about 900 foot run). Skiing was very good today, clear skies until 3 pm, 40 cm snow (decreasing as you got closer to tree line) on a very firm layer, boot top ski penetration, windy, snow was good up to treeline. Temp between -9 and -6. Wind was howling at mountaintop. Above tree line snow is seriously windhammered. The snow on the hard layer is starting to slab up. Had 2 minor settlements, barely audible and maybe it was my imagination and just the hood of my windbreaker?
