Hi, I am an avid backcountry skier moving from Revelstoke to Tumbler Ridge for the coming few months and I would like to know more about the ski touring opportunities around there. I read the report about Holzworth meadows and I have been there before during the summer. I only have a 2WD car but I am keen to do overnighters and skin in up to 15km if needed to reach the terrain. It would definitely be great to find partners to go with as well... Thanks

With some logging happening on Hwy 29 between TR and Chetwynd, I am curious to see if some access has opened up, the Miekle Ck. road in particular. Bourd, I and others have 4WD vehicles so access is not too bad.

Hello bourd, are you still in Tumbler  ridge now and for the winter 2012-13?

Hi Rabbit8. I just arrived in Dawson Creek and will be here for a year. I had a nice touring season so far around Pemberton-Whislter-Squamish for the last few months. I'm looking for partners with whom I will be able to go out for a day or two on weekends (overnighters or day trips)

i was going to the babcock snowmobille area a couple years ago . i had a sled for access but its not far anyways . lots of sled users so  even if you head out solo you will probably have some eyes on you  at times .
