Richard So and I skied Cypress Peak on Sunday, November 14th. Breakable crust on all aspects, but the crust was thinner and easier to ski the higher we went. We did a few laps in the sun on the glacier west of the summit where the sunshine was keeping the curst from hardening too much. We measured 125cm of snow at the base of the West glacier at 1780m. The only natural avalanche activity was a loose wet size 1 that ran off some north facing cliffs, presumably on Saturday night. On the way down we skied to 1340m by following some old snow patches beside the creek. The worst part of the day was hiking down the slippery snow covered boulders back to the truck. http://richso.blogspot.com/2010/11/real-cypress-peak.html
